Asa.JPG (9796 bytes) Well, this is what I look like most of the time, sometimes with shorter hair, sometimes with longer. I was born in 1969, and have always had animals. I got my first guinneapig when I was 6 years old, and my first cat 2 years later.
I've had my work for a long time, and got really fed up with it after had been home with Holly when she was a baby. So I took some time of and studied. For 2½ years I red some English, civics, computer basics, pedagogical leadership, maths, Swedish, more maths, webdesign, desktop publishing, textual output, ECDL, graphics, business economics, databases, natureknowledge and some handcraft, all at our Adult Community School.

After that I studied a two-years course in Tourism development at Skeria Utveckling. I have come to see that if I ever will work in the tourism industry, it will be with the incoming market, as I find the development of our own region much more interesting then sitting at a travel agency sending people abroad... Studying is hard work, but I really enjoyed it and I had never thougt it would be so fun sitting in the schoolbench again!

Anyway, when I finished these two years, Hollys father and I separated, so I went back to my job. Under those sercumstanses it was more important to HAVE a job and a salay, then developing oneself... So I stayed in the house, and met Johan who moved in the autumn of 2004.

AsaHolly.jpg (14252 bytes) What else can I tell you? well, I do spend some time infront of the computer... Too much time sometimes, I can feel... A few years ago I had the opinion that I would not have a computer in my house, I could manage just as well without. The protocols from Solkatten's boardmeetings could easily be written by hand. Then my father came over with his old computer... What would I say?! So, I realized that it actually was quite handsome, especially if I misspelled... After that I became the editor of Solkatten's members' paper, and suddenly I became aware of that our computer was too small, old and dull! After that everything has just rolled on, it is really fun to make informationleflets, advertisments for kittens, addresslabels, visitingcards, posters to our catshows, homepages...  And now I need a new harddrive again...

I do understand that if I had not been so involved with the catbreeding and catclubs, I would not have had this much use of the computer and then it would not have been this fun! I have also come to see, that there are some people who are happy enough to work with this kind of things every day, so that is what I will try to get into in the future!

During 2008 I've also picked up an old interest from when I went to school... I've started to dance again! And not just any dance, it's oriental dance, or belly dancing as it also is called. :) It's just SO FUN, we practice twice a week at Skellefteå Dance & Ballet association, and have performed a couple of times already! Our teacher, Katerina, is really good and very inspiring! I'd never have thought this om myself just a year ago... Here a couple of photos from the Spring Performance.

Whenever there are any time left for other things, I enjoy sewing, first of all clothes for Holly, friends or myself. Just plain curtins are not that fun... Reading a good book is also quite enjoyable, or watching a good movie. I am also quite fond of gardening, I do not have really green fingers, but I enjoy relaxing by digging in the ground, and then watching the flowers grow. And, not to forget, getting together with friends, whether it is just over a cup of tea or doing something fun together, like go bathing, grilling saussages or something else.

In the passed it has been everything from studentcouncil and the Local Rabbit Breeding Association, to 4H/Young Farmers and the Trade union. At the moment I am just a little bit involved in the local catclubb Solkatten, the Swedish Maine Coon Club, the pawped education programme and I'm editor for Vallholt's clubpaper.  I guess I'm just that kind of person who can't stay out of things!

I have no sisters or brothers, but a mother Lena and a father Stefan, who still lives in the house in Yttervik where I grew up. They are into the business of rabbitbreeding, and here is their site!
