Ninja stayed in our home when her littermates moved out one by one. She grew up to be a beautiful cat with a great personality! I started to plan for a litter with silver kittens... I found a suitable male, he was just going to have his hips x-rayed before Christmas 2000, so we planned mating them early in 2001. The day before New Years Eve 2000, I found Ninja - dead... I shouted, cried and went straight to the vet for an autopsy. I just could not believe it, a young cat, she had not shown any signs at all of beeing ill! My vet. could not find anything, so we sent parts away for closer examination. And the long wait started... When the answer came, it was not very nice... She had an heart disease. It was hard to take in, I had checked her heart with ultrasonic less then six months earlier! At the same time as Ninja passed away, I had two litters at home, and one was the same combination as Ninja... I kept two of those girls, and hoped to be able to use them in my breeding later on, as these were the last I had left from these lines. But it all ended up with me loosing the last of my old English lines, and I really tried to stop breeding cats... Ninja will always have her special place in my heart!
